About Offer Odds

Offer Odds turns the Reception allocation figures councils already publish into a clear, school-by-school history: how far away places were offered, and whether your address would have got one.

Offer Odds is run by Lime Creations. It is independent of every council and school.

How we handle the data

Sourced. Every cut-off, admission rule and school fact comes from a council or school publication, and every figure links to its source, with an archived copy where one exists.

Checked. Each figure has been checked against its source. Anything not yet checked is marked as draft data.

Honest about limits. We show what happened in past years, never a percentage, and never promise a place. The council makes every offer.

We use each council’s measuring method, but for now we estimate the point on each school site that the council measures to, so our distances can differ slightly from the council’s. Until address-level lookup is switched on, your home is placed at the centre of your postcode, so results are approximate. Read our method and see how accurate it is.

Why it exists

Every year, councils publish how Reception places were shared out at each primary school: how many children applied, how many places went to siblings, and how far away the last child offered a place lived. Those figures are public, but they are spread across long PDF documents, one year at a time, and they are hard to compare.

Offer Odds gathers them in one place, links every figure to its source, and replays your address against each recent year, so you can choose schools with a realistic back-up.

What we cover

We currently cover primary schools in Harrow, Lambeth and Lewisham, for Reception entry in September 2027.

Independence

Offer Odds is independent. It isn’t part of any council, school or estate agent, and nobody pays to change what a school page says.
