How to read the table
- Miles
- How far away the last child offered a place on distance lived
- No cut-off
- Every applicant was offered a place at the school or at a school they ranked higher, so places never ran out on distance
- Siblings
- Places ran out at that priority (siblings, faith or area), before anyone got a place on distance alone
- Less predictable
- The cut-off swings from year to year
- No figure
- We don’t have a usable figure for that year
- Latest Ofsted
- The latest inspection result in Ofsted’s words, and its year, from Ofsted’s data as at 30 September 2026. “No overall grade” means a graded inspection from September 2024, when Ofsted stopped giving one; the school page lists each judgement. Since 10 November 2025 Ofsted publishes report cards, which grade each area separately and which Ofsted says can’t be compared with earlier grades

Questions about Wandsworth primary admissions
When is the deadline for Wandsworth primary school applications for September 2027?
Applications for Reception places starting in September 2027 close on 15 January 2027. Offers are made on 16 April 2027. Apply to the council where you live, even if the schools you want are in another council’s area.
When is National Offer Day in Wandsworth for September 2027?
Reception offers are sent on Friday 16 April 2027. That is when Wandsworth Council tells families which primary school their child has been offered for September 2027.
What happens if my child doesn’t get a place at any of the Wandsworth schools I applied for?
Every child who applies on time is offered a school place on National Offer Day. If none of your preferences can be offered, Wandsworth Council offers a place at another school that still has places, usually the closest one to your home with a vacancy. Accept it so your child has a school in September, then ask to join the waiting lists for the schools you want, and consider an appeal. Our Offer Day guide explains waiting lists and appeals.
How many schools can you apply for in Wandsworth?
Councils in England use an equal-preference system. You can name up to 6 schools, and each one considers your application under its own admission rules without knowing where you ranked it. If more than one school could offer you a place, you're offered the one you ranked highest. So ranking a school higher never harms your chances at the others: list schools in your true order of preference, and include at least one you'd be likely to be offered.
How does Wandsworth Council measure distance for school admissions?
Wandsworth Council measures a straight line from your home’s address point to the centre of the school site, and publishes distances to the nearest whole metre. Ties are broken at random. We use each council’s measuring method, but for now we estimate the point on each school site that the council measures to, so our distances can differ slightly from the council’s.
What does “last distance offered” mean?
It is how far from the school the last child offered a place under the distance criterion lived, on offer day. Children living closer than that, under the same criterion, were offered a place; children further away were not, unless they had a higher priority such as a sibling at the school. It changes every year, so it is a guide, not a fixed boundary.
